Anil is a director of one of the largest commercial/business groups in Mauritius, namely the Currimjee Group, which has operations and investments in both Mauritius and India.
The Currimjee Group was established in 1890 with diversified activities in the following clusters: telecommunications, media and IT; real estate; hospitality and tourism; energy; commerce and financial services; and manufacturing, marketing and distribution. He was Chairman of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry during 2003 and the Chairman of the Joint Business Council Mauritius India, since 2004 (Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Committee). He was the Honorary Consul General of Japan in Mauritius until January 2017.
