The retail and office properties we have invested in have been independently valued at over USD159m.
Our diversified, risk-managed portfolio of real estate assets yields sustainable income streams for our investors. We focus primarily on making long-term investments in commercial properties that boast major retailers and companies as core tenants. We are currently invested in Ghana, Nigeria and Tanzania, and at present are able to invest in 9 other sub-Saharan countries. Our mandate is to invest in Sub Saharan Africa excluding South Africa and its Common Monetary Area.
Our portfolio includes Accra Mall in Ghana that has 21,384m2 gross lettable area retail space and boasts long-term tenants Shoprite and Game. We have an effective shareholding of 47% in this property which is valued independently at USD103.8m. We have a 100% effective shareholding in Atlantic House, Lagos, Nigeria with a gross lettable area of 4,271m2 office space. This property is independently valued at USD21.1m and our major tenants include Cisco and Eland Oil and Gas. Barclays Bank, Commercial Bank of Africa and First National Bank are anchor tenants in our Dar Es Salaam investment in Tanzania. Capital Properties consist of 20,962m2 gross lettable area office space. We hold an effective shareholding of 100% in this property, independently valued at USD34.5m
